The Cisco Catalyst 2950 Series Switch is a fixed-configuration, stackable standalone switch that provides wire-speed Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet connectivity. The 2950 family is characterised by two sets of software features and a range of configurations which make it ideal for a host of environments ranging from branch office, to small and midsized users. The standard image offers the core CISCO IOS software for simple voice, data and video. The Enhanced Image software offers additional security as well as an advanced Quality of service and high availability.
