IBM's most popular server of the late 90's and withdrawn mid 2001, the F50 was at the high-end of the RS/6000 workgroup server family. Still able to support up to AIX 5.2, this machine makes the ideal replacement for all earlier RS/6000 servers. With cutting edge technology in its day, the flexible F50 can be purchased now for a fraction of its original cost. With 18 internal disk bays and support of various I/O cards these servers now make good departmental, test or stand-by machines.
