3592/J1A & E05 (TS1120) Tape Drives from Covenco

The 3592/J1A provides up to five times the capacity of the 3590 drives. It is supported in the 3494 and 3584 Tape Libraries and the 3592/C20 Tape Silo. The drive uses both 60GB and 300GB 3592 cartridges, available in both rewritable and WORM formats, and 3:1 compression allows up to 900GB per cartridge. The TS1120 or 3592/E05 as it is also called provides 60% more capacity and 150% more performance than the J1A. Both are available ex-stock and with prices on the later E05's now 70% off list price, they represent excellent value.
