The smaller external tape devices provide cost effective solutions for small to medium-sized companies. Although some have been withdrawn from marketing by IBM they still provide solutions to modern back-up requirements, and the hardware supplied by Covenco is guaranteed to be supported on an IBM maintenance contract. Complete units and parts can be supplied direct from stock should they be required for repairs.
Covenco can supply the necessary adapter cards to directly attach any of these tape drives to an IBM system.
